We really enjoyed this little hidden gem that only happens to be 8 minutes from our house! It is fine dining at a decent price.
My husband and I shared a salad which had delicious caramelized onion dressing on it. I then got the salmon for my meal which was cooked to perfection! The focaccia bread that they bring around is also very tasty and hard to stop eating.
The waiters and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back for a future special occasion. -

While my husband and I had visited Nana's a few times separately, this was our first time going together as a couple. We were excited that Nana's reopened and were not disappointed.
After starting with an excellent cocktail, we ordered 4 dishes all together. I ordered an heirloom tomato plate with fried okra, goat cheese, and basalmic vinaigrette ($12) and a shrimp and bacon risotto dish ($14). Both dishes were much larger than I thought they would be and could easily be an entree on its own. Both plates were delicious and filling. My husband ordered a pork dish (entree of about $28) and I tried a bite of his - the pork was juicy yet maintained a crispy skin. We also ordered a fig and brown butter tart topped with whipped cream for dessert. The whipped cream was incredibly rich, but the dessert itself was quite light - perfect for a summer day.
It was very busy when we had dinner, so it took a little while for our waitress to get around to us. We were also sitting in the room directly next to the door, and the vibe was fairly casual for fine dining. Ultimately, we had a great experience and are looking forward to go again for another special occasion. -

Lovely little spot! It's a bit hard to find at the moment with the construction all around it, but worth figuring it out! Lovely art inside, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. I had the salmon entree which was a nice medium rare on the inside with a slightly crispy top, perfect! With corn and bok choy! Very tasty! The rest of the table was happy with all of their choices too, a corn soup, halibut entrees and pork. We all cleaned our plates!

Sad to say but this place did not live up to the hype. Our server was great but started off the meal by explaining how some of the dishes have been on the menu for 20+ years. While it was meant to convey these are classic dishes, what it really meant was dated. The decor lends well to this, the place looks straight out of the 90's and not in a good, throwback kind of way.
The food: Bland, poor execution, zero creativity.
On the table were two boring green salads, butternut squash soup with crab that tasted okay but the texture was a little off. Entrees included scallops in a runny, watery flavorless sauce full of random soggy vegetables. The scallops were also soggy with no browning. The duck breast had no crispy skin and was overcooked. The risotto tasted like boxed mac and cheese, that artificial cheese flavor that brings me right back to the 90's. And finally, another boring piece of fish. Dessert was a soggy tart with a big pile of creme fresh which made no sense.
I really don't understand the hype. I'm all about classic recipes and don't expect every place to be on trend with fancy techniques. But if you are going the classic route, they have to be perfect and this meal was far from it.
